Walmart Employee Says He Was Fired For Delay In Returning Found Cash

Eighteen-year Walmart veteran Michael Walsh says he was fired from his job as a maintenance worker at a store in Niskayuna, New York, because he waited about 30 minutes before reporting $350 in cash he found in the parking lot.

Michael Walsh says that he was fired from his maintenance job at a Walmart in Niskayuna, New York, because he waited a half hour before reporting his discovery of $350. 

According to the 18-year company veteran, he first found and immediately turned in a $5 bill; upon his return to the parking lot, he found the larger amount of cash lying outside with no other identifying information.

After a while, he went into the store with the intention of returning the sum when he heard a woman upset about misplacing her money,
