Drake Is Spotify's Most-Streamed Artist of 2015

You used to stream him on your cellphone, now Drake gets your love as the most popular artist of the year on Spotify. Overall, Drizzy was streamed more than 1.8 billion times by around 46 million listeners in 2015, the company revealed on Tuesday morning. While Drake grabbed the top spot for most-streamed artist, The Weeknd's "Beauty Behind The Madness" was the most-streamed album with 60 million listeners. Overall, Spotify seems to be doing fine despite the high-profile launch of Apple Music in June. Spotify also claimed its Discover Weekly personalized playlists as a success, noting that they "reached 1.7 billion streams in just 5 months."
