SYDNEY — Australian media report that residents made numerous calls to the Harborside Local Area Command on Saturday, November 21, 2015, at around 2:00 a.m. after hearing a woman hysterically screaming while a man's voice was heard yelling "I'm going to kill you, you're dead."

When Sydney officers responded, they were greeted by a man who appeared "flushed and out of breath." Police asked the man where his wife or girlfriend was, but the man said he lived alone.

A rough transcript of the conversation between the man and the officers was printed by ABC News Australia. In the conversation, police respond to the man's claim that the screams were about a spider.

"Sorry?" asked the officers. "It was a spider, a really big one!" the man replied. "What about the woman screaming?" police continued. "Yes sorry, that was me. I really, really hate spiders," the unidentified spider hater responded.

After ascertaining that the man indeed lived alone and no injured individuals were in the residence, officers chuckled their way out of the man's home. The species of spider was not disclosed and the spider was also reportedly not captured.
