Traffic police in China found four unusual passengers - live goats - in the back seats of a pickup truck which was carrying another dozen of the herd in its back part.

The footage, captured at a highway check station in Jiangxi Province earlier this month, shows two adult and two baby goats sitting inside the limited space while one of the curious youngsters stretches its head out of the window.

According to news reports, the driver hid the four animals in the cab as he ran out of space in the trailer. He was due to be given a fine by the police for violation of traffic rules.
