KQZ zyrtarisht ne krize. Jani Jani anëtari i propozuar nga PBDNJ ne KQZ ka deklaruar se ngrin marrëdhëniet me këtë institucion dhe nuk do te marre pjese ne mbledhjet e KQZ. Nëpërmjet një njoftimi për mediat Jani Jani thekson se vendimi i tij u motivua nga ndërprerja e paligjshme e mandatit te Ilirjan Muhos.
"Dua te nënvizoj se për arsye te situatave te krijuara dhe ne pritje te një reflektimi real, te dukshëm te politikes për te hequr dore nga tentativat per te cenuar pavarësinë e këtij institucioni, si edhe ne shenje solidariteti me koleget e mi, deklaroj ngrirjen e veprimtarisë time formale ne KQZ". Shkruhet ne letrën e Jani Janit. Bojkoti i anëtarit te fundit te opozitës ne KQZ e le institucionin me 4 anëtare duke mos cenuar kuorumin për zhvillimin e mbledhjeve por duke vene ne rrezik administrimin e procesit zgjedhor pasi pjesa me e rëndësishme e vendimeve merret me 5 vota. Ende nuk dihet nëse Kuvendi do te zbatoje nenin 18 pika e qe thotë se anëtari i KQZ shkarkohet ne rast se mungon, pa shkaqe të arsyeshme, në dy mbledhje radhazi të KQZ-së, ose në periudhë zgjedhore për më shumë se 5 ditë; Por pavarësisht zhvillimeve te fundit KQZ nëpërmjet zyrës se shtypit ka njoftuar normalisht zhvillimin e mbledhjes gjate ditës se premte. Gjate kësaj mbledhjeje do te shqyrtohen projekt-vendimet për regjistrimin e komitetit nismëtar për 3 kandidateve te pavarur per deputet mes te cilëve edhe ish-i përndjekuri politik Skender Tufa.
