Evropa është përfshire tashme ne valën e plakjes e popullsisë qe zë 20% te saj. Ne Shqipëri kjo kategori është 9% e popullatës, por parashikimet flasin se pas 15 vitesh kjo shifër do te shkoje ne 33%.
Por plakja e pashmangshme e popullatës duket se shkon ne proporcion te zhdrejte me shërbimet dhe mundësitë qe i ofrohen brezit te trete. Te paktën me këtë sy e shohin veten te moshuarit ne Shqipëri ne ditën ndërkombëtare te tyre. Kjo 74 vjeçare është një prej tyre qe ne me te shumtën e rasteve i gjen ne stolat e parqeve si te vetmet vende argëtimi dhe shplodhjeje për ta.
