Ne ditën e dyte te takimit konsultativ BE-Shqipëri, ku diskutohen 4 kriteret politike qe duhet te përmbushë vendi për te fituar statusin kandidat, ambasadori Ettore Sequi deklaroi se përgjegjësia për integrimin mbetet tek faktori shqiptar. "Ne jemi ketu për t'ju ndihmuar, por ky është vendi juaj, kjo është e ardhmja juaj, kjo është përgjegjësia juaj. Ne besojmë se ka shanse për statusin kandidat, pas progres raportit. Por kërkohet një angazhim kombëtar, mbështetur ne 3 drejtime: vizion, burime njerëzore dhe dialog politik," u shpreh Sequi. Ne mbledhjen ku merrnin pjese edhe drejtuesit e 2 komisioneve te posaçme kuvendore nga mazhoranca dhe opozita, për reformën elektorale dhe parlamentare, ministrja Bregu apeloi për mos bllokimin e tyre. Retorika politike e ditëve te fundit, mes drejtuesve te shumicës e minorances ka qene e ashpër, duke ia faturuar vonesat dhe bllokimet palës tjetër.
