Gati dy vjet pas rrëzimit te "ligjit te lustracionit" nga Gjykata Kushtetuese ish te përndjekurit politik, kthejnë vëmendjen nga drafti ligjor qe ka te beje me hapjen e dosjeve. Ne 65-vjetorin e masakrës ndaj grupit te martireve, te dënuar ne gjyqin e kampit te Maliqit, Simon Miraka u shpreh se pa aprovimin e këtij ligji, krimet e komunizmit nuk do te zbardhen kurrë, duke iu referuar kështu edhe punës se Institutit mbi zbardhjen dhe dënimin e këtyre krimeve. I një linje tjetër ishte Agron Tufa ne funksionin e kreut te institutit mbi dënimin e krimeve te komunizmit, sipas te cilit, hapi i pare është rishikimi i teksteve shkollore. Ligji i lustracionit u miratua ne parlament ne vitin 2009 pa votën e opozitës. Ai u kundërshtua jo vetëm prej deputeteve te majte, por edhe nga ndërkombëtaret, deri sa Gjykata Kushtetuese e rrezoi atë ne vitin 2010.
