Opozita votoi kundër projektligjit për mbetjet urbane ne komisionin parlamentar te integrimit, duke e vlerësuar këtë një nisme te mangët dhe legjitimuese te importit te plehrave nga jashtë.
Qeveria ka propozuar këtë draft, ne përpjekje për te zgjidhur problemin e mbetjeve, qe kërkon angazhimin e mbi 350 specialisteve te mjedisit, kryesisht ne nivel lokal. "Por megjithe këtë fature te larte financiare, problemi i plehrave do te mbetet i pazgjidhur," tha përfaqësuesi i opozitës Ditmir Bushati. I pyetur nga deputeti demokrat Sherefedin Shehu për çështjen e djegies te mbeturinave urbane, edhe specialisti i ministrisë, Pellumb Abashi pranoi pamundësinë për ta frenuar këtë fenomen, megjithëse me ligj ndalohet rreptësisht. Kundër draftit për mbetjet urbane, kane protestuar edhe ambientalistet, te cilët pretendojnë se Shqipëria do te kthehet ne vend grumbullimi te madh plehrash te Evropë
