Argentina: Most Leftists Reject Macri, Will Vote for Sci

Most left-wing political forces in Argentina recognize that the Front for Victory coalition has fallen short in many areas since it took power in 2003, yet feel that it has improved the lives of the people. Accordingly, they will vote for Daniel Scioli. A return to neoliberal policies advocated by right-wing candidate Mauricio Macri would undoubtedly mean disaster for the country, they say. Many see the presidential runoff as a plebiscite between keeping the door open to the radicalization of changes in a democratic, popular and anti-imperialist direction or closing it altogether.
