Liver Transplant's state of the Art operation Theatre Complex inaugurated at Dow University By Governor Sindh.

Governor Sindh and Chancellor Dow University of Health Sciences (DUHS), Dr Ishrat-ul-Ebad Khan inaugurated first in public sector university, state-of-the-art Operation Theatre Complex, at Ojha Campus.

The international standard Operation Theatre Complex with the name of Postgraduate Medical Sciences Research Centre has been established by DUHS in a dedicated and purpose built facility exclusively for performing liver transplantation and other surgeries.

The OT Complex comprises of nine operation theaters, 52 ventilators and 100 bedded Intensive Care Units (ICU) and recovery rooms covering area of 80,000 sq ft. The complex has been equipped with state of art facilities for liver transplant and Hepato Pancreato Biliary Unit and various specialties for postgraduate?s training.

Dr Ishrat-ul-Ebad Khan sharing his views on the occasion said that it is the one of the biggest OT Complex of the Asia and with its establishment a longstanding demand has been fulfilled. He also announced to sponsor initial 10 patients for liver transplantation. This project will directly help the poor patients of the country.
