Playboy to stop publishing nude photos because of free porn on the internet

CHICAGO-- Nude pictures of women have been the centerpiece of Playboy magazine for 62 years, but starting March of next year, the magazine will ditch the fully nude pics. It will still feature women in a provocative poses but Playboy says they'll be more of a PG-13 flavor.

Playboy is accepting defeat at the hands of online porn websites in the battle for your eyeballs. Nudity is no longer a novelty. "You're now one click away from every sex act imaginable for free," Playboy CEO Scott Flanders told the New York Times.

It's sad to think that younger generations will never experience the thrill of finding their dad's secret wank stash. It was a rite of passage, for some a moment of brotherly bonding illuminated merely by flashlight. And gone are the days of black-bar plastic-wrapped magazines tempting teenagers to shoplift.

Nowadays, every teenage boy knows how go incognito with one hand on his phone, while dads remain dependent on the younger generation to get that darn virus off his computer. Yesterday's classy wank stash is today's trashy browser history.

"Don't get me wrong," Cory Jones, a top editor at Playboy, told the New York Times, "12-year-old me is very disappointed in current me. But it's the right thing to do."

So the next time someone claims they read Playboy for the articles, you better believe it.
