61-year-old nanny, who is a neighbor of the family in the Skopje settlement Gorce Petrov, five months ago was hired by the parents to keep their two children, a nine-month old baby and his three years older brother, but they suspected that something was wrong once they noticed bruises on the baby’s body. The Ministry of Interior Affairs said that the case is documented and filed criminal charges against the nanny, and after decision of the public prosecutor she was put behind bars. The lawyer of the nanny asked the Court the video recording to be excluded as evidence because they were acquired without authorization. He announced that he would file a complaint to the Basic Public Prosecutor's Office the detention of the nanny to be replaced by house arrest, and urged fair proceedings for his client. The case caused a storm of reactions on social networks and by the citizens. The First Children's Embassy Megjashi say that the parents should entrust their children to licensed nannies or companies which provide such services or kindergartens. The case according to them should get legal resolution.
