Former law minister Zaid Ibrahim, quit the cabinet and was subsequently sacked from Umno last year, has today joined opposition party PKR.

The announcement was made by PKR de facto leader Anwar Ibrahim at the PKR extraordinary congress in Bangi, Selangor this afternoon.
