World March for Peace and Non-violence Kuala Lumpur

World March Kuala Lumpur is the Malaysian leg of the first ever World March that will travel the world. Over 90 countries are taking part in this event which started in New Zealand on October 2, 2009 and will continue until 2nd January 2010 in Argentina.

In Malaysia, 5 NGOs: WAO, NurSalam, Voice Of The Children, SPCA and World Without Wars, joined hands to organize this fun filled event, which included a Lantern Walk themed Reclaiming the Night and Street Festival at Jalan Bangkung, Bukit Bandaraya on 10th October 2009, from 6pm-10pm.

The objective of World March is asking for the end of wars, the dismantling of nuclear weapons and for an end to all forms of violence be it physical, economic, racial, religious, cultural, sexual and psychological.
