CSL: Mandarin has economic value

At the 57th MCA general assembly, its president Chua Soi Lek revealed goodies by the Federal government for Chinese education. Amongst them:
1. Compulsory allocation of land for the building of Chinese primary school (SRJKC) on property development of more than 3,000 houses where the majority of the residents are Chinese.
2.All utility bills incurred by Chinese schools will be borne by the education ministry regardless of whether the schools are fully or partially aided.
Chua stressed that MCA has never looked at Chinese education with racial or cultural sentiments, but its value in the commercial world especially with the growth of China as an economic powerhouse.
