Refugees break free from police and make a run for it at Hungary border
  • 9 years ago
Hundreds of refugees ran across fields from police on Tuesday at Hungary's southern border with Serbia, attempting to make their journey on foot to Budapest. Some migrants said the situation at the collection point was so bad that they wanted to return across the border to Serbia, but police wouldn't let them, according to the AP. Last week, thousands began a defiant march along a major roadway outside Budapest in an effort to leave Hungary as a refugee crisis inside the country continues to deteriorate.
