Rising onion prices in the Surat leave consumers teary-eyed - Tv9 Gujarati

Surat: The price of onions in the retail market has touched Rs 90 per kg and will soon cross the Rs 100 mark. The wholesale price of onion has — for the first time ever — touched a high of Rs 50 per kg. Onions are retailing at Rs 80-90 per kg. Prices are expected to rise further as stocks are limited and demand more or less constant.
