Adam Adli vigil at Jingjang descend into chaos

Police have arrested 18 people who had gathered in front of the Jinjang police station tonight in a show of solidarity for student activist Adam Adli, who was detained last Saturday and is expected to be charged with sedition tomorrow.
About 1,000 had earlier gathered outside the station at about 8.30pm, amidst heavy police presence, who also sealed the entrance to the station.
The candlelight vigil had proceeded smoothly until about 10pm, when, as PAS vice-president Salahuddin Ayub was addressing the crowd, police issued a 10-minute notice for them to disperse. All the detainees were later released at 2am.
