Blue Tonic is a band of seasoned performers from Cairns, North Queensland intent on sharing the joy of music with others. Seasoned with Country, Rock, Folk, Blues styles this band will orient you with an easy listening, toe tappin’ dance music style. Male and female vocalists add dimension and sweet harmonies. Instrumentation is varied as appropriate for each song and may include: Guitars, Bass, Drums, Harmonica and Guitar Mandolin. Blue Tonic's broad repertoire includes a range of songs from Australian and International artists covering music from the 80s, 90s and beyond to contemporary music of the day.
Multiple songwriters in the band provide further extension with "home grown" flavours giving Blue Tonic even broader diversity. Currently their debut album is being recorded and will be launched in 2015. Band members include: Peter Grayson, Trevor Gane, Jim McCabe, Dave Lonegan and Shirley Lynn.
Blue Tonic have performed at many local Cairns venues, functions and local community events including: Australia Day Big Breakfast - Palm Cove, Tablelands Folk Festival - Herberton concert, Cairns Esplanade – council gigs and last year at Palm Cove Reef Feast. Blue Tonic have performed at Yorkey’s Knob community events including Festival of the Knob and Carols by Candlelight since 2010.
Music for all occasions... local venues, weddings, parties, festivals, functions, corporate gigs and more…. Mixing it up and switching it round with music to best suit the occasion.
