Sustainability jobs have become the career change of choice in the UK. Ninety percent of those polled by the Institute of Environmental Management and Assessment said that they were ?very satisfied? by changing careers to a position in the sustainability or environmental sector. The study also reports that the pay of seventy-five percent of those working in the sector rose in 2014.

With the growing demand by UK businesses for sustainability professionals, British universities are stepping up their offerings. Ashridge Business School in Hertfordshire has created a Masters Degree in Sustainability and Responsibility that focuses on ecological economics, sustainable development, and CSR. The Forum for the Future, along with Middlesex University, is offering a Masters Degree in Leadership for Sustainable Development. The program has a ninety percent employment rate for its graduates within three months of graduation in jobs with companies and organizations such as M and S, KPMG, Sainsbury?s, WWF, and Greenpeace. And the International Center for Corporate Social Responsibility, based at Nottingham University Business School, is launching a new MSc in Sustainability that joins its MBA in CSR, the first of its kind in the UK, and its MSc in CSR degree, one of the UK?s leading courses.
