Michigan State Senator Virgil Smith is under the spotlight after he was arrested for shooting his ex-wife’s Mercedes-Benz after a fight last Sunday morning. The unidentified ex-wife found Smith completely naked by the door with another woman, and this prompted her to attack both Smith and his female companion.

As the arguments ensued, Smith grabbed an assault rifle. The ex-wife ran into her car in fear and drove off. Smith opened fire and landed around five shots on her car before she was out of view. The ex-wife claimed that Smith had beaten her up prior to getting the rifle.

After being questioned by the police, Smith and his ex-wife had totally different stories. According to Smith’s ex-wife, she was invited to spend the night at Smith’s. Smith denied inviting her and said that she went to his home unannounced and attacked both him and his female companion. Police still cannot provide comments at this time.
