Another worker was killed while helping to build the Sao Paulo World Cup stadium on Saturday (March 29), about four months after two workers died when a crane collapsed at the stadium.

The accident occurred when construction worker Fabio Hamilton da Crus was installing floors on the temporary stand at the Arena Corinthians, Reuters reported. He reportedly fell from a height of 8 meters and died from serious head injuries. He is the third fatality at the Arena Corinthians and the seventh to perish in building World Cup arenas in Brazil.

The arena is designed to seat 48,000 people but another 20,000 seats are being added to increase its capacity during the finals. The venue was supposed to be completed in December but the date was pushed back after two workers were killed when a crane collapsed at the stadium, according to Reuters. It was then expected to be finished in mid-May, about a month before the June 12 opener. However, it was not clear if the latest incident would prompt further delays.
