An Athens, Georgia man was arrested last Tuesday for beating his stepdaughter's boyfriend after catching the teen couple in the shower together.

Clinton Ward, 49, was home early from work. He sat on the couch and heard his daughter's voice in the bathroom. He thought the 16-year-old was on her phone, but when he went in to listen to be sure, he also heard a boy's voice.

He went back to the couch and patiently waited for teen couple to come out. The girl emerged in only a towel and the 16-year-old boyfriend was naked. Ward started cursing and yelling and lunged after the couple who high-tailed it to the girl's bedroom. Ward pushed his daughter aside, then pushed the boy against the wall and punched him in the chest and face. Then he called the cops, who called the boy's mother, who asked them to arrest him, which they did. Ward was charged with battery and cruelty to children.

However, the story went viral and netizens are now rallying around Ward, saying he was right in using force against the boy, who was effectively an intruder in his home, interfering with the safety of his daughter. According to WXIA, even the boy admitted that what he did was wrong and that he deserved the fatherly beating. The boy was not injured seriously.
