Woman kidnapped forced to work as hooker

A woman was kidnapped outside the Port Authority Bus Terminal last month near the Times Square transit hub. She was sexually assaulted and driven across the country, forced to work as a hooker along the way, but luckily managed to escape in Utah.

Last month, the woman was abducted and forced into a black Mercedes-Benz close to the Port Authority Bus Terminal where she was beaten unconscious. When she regained consciousness, she was somewhere in Pennsylvania as her abductors drove west.

The 23-year-old victim told authorities that she was sexually assaulted twice in Chicago.

She was then forced to work as a hooker in Denver, Salt Lake City and Grand Junction, Colorado.

On Sunday, she was able to run away from her captors. She dialed 911 from a cell phone as she hid behind a post in a downtown Salt Lake City parking lot.

Her abductors Jean Joseph, 26, and Tara Pinnock, 24, have both been arrested. Joseph is being charged with suspicion of rape, human trafficking, aggravated assault and kidnapping. Pinnock is being held on suspicion of human trafficking.
