Man electrocuted and mummified found in manhole

A mummified remains was found in a manhole in Tucson, Arizona last month.
Following power outages in the east side on Sunday, the Tucson Electric Power staff came to the manhole located at Tanque Verde Rd and Tanque Verde Loop Rd near Emily Gray Junior High school on Monday morning, May 19th, for inspection. A mummified body, identified as a 51-year-old man based on the ID card found on his body, was discovered underneath the high-voltage utility vault.
An autopsy report reveals that the electricity cooked the man to death, evaporating all of his moisture in his body and turning it into a mummy, while he was trying to cut the wires more than a year ago.
He was found near the ladder in the manhole, holding a pair of bolt cutters with some cut copper wires nearby.
The Pima County Sheriff investigators didn't say whether the man was trying to steal the wires or not.
The medical examiner can rehydrate his hands to retrieve fingerprints using a special procedure. Yet, because of the condition of the body, they don't think they are going to do fingerprints. They are hoping dental records or DNA comparison would help indentify the man.
