Atlanta shootout: woman shoots at cops while inside patrol car - TomoNews

A female suspect was shot dead by police after exchanging gunfire with two officers from inside the back of the patrol car in Atlanta on Thursday.
Two officers were investigating a report of a stolen car on Thursday afternoon when they found a female suspect sitting in the missing vehicle in a parking deck in downtown Atlanta, NBC News reported.
The suspect was detained and placed in the back of a patrol car. At some point, the suspect somehow managed to pull out a handgun and opened fire at the officers, according to NBC News.
The officers returned fire and shot the suspect, who died later at hospital. Neither officer was injured in the shooting, according to NBC.
