Nigel Farage steps down as UKIP leader

Nigel Farage turned the UK Independence Party (UKIP) into a national force and helped it win millions of votes but his anti-EU drive was stopped short on Friday in its bid to scale the walls of Westminster. The founder of UKIP, who set up the party in 1993, says that most immigrants are 'young, ambitious, hardworking' and that the party doesn't deserve to do well in the general election because it doesn't have a coherent policy document.
