European car sales drive onwards and upwards

The recovery of Europe’s automobile industry is continuing on a firm footing, according to new data from the Association of European Carmakers.

Sales in mid-market brands have rebounded up while no-frills “crisis car” sales have slowed.

Across the bloc, registrations have gone up 10.8 percent to 1.65 million cars.

It comes after months of hesitant growth with the five big markets, Germany, Britain, France, Italy and Spain all posting solid gains.
