An Indiana couple has been charged with child negligence after cell phone video obtained by police showed the pair goading their 12-month-old daughter to play with a .40 caliber handgun.

Michael Barnes, 19, and Tori Wilson, 22, were both arrested on Saturday on charges of criminal recklessness with a deadly weapon, child neglect and for allowing a child to possess a firearm.

Police discovered by the video after Barnes was arrested last Thursday night outside a Delaware elementary school for trying to sell a handgun to an undercover cop.

The video shows the child playing with what Evansville police say is .40-caliber handgun as her parents can be heard cheering her on in the background.

The child at one point is seen swallowing the tip of the weapon before being instructed to make shooting noises.

Barnes has also since been charged with resisting law enforcement with a weapon, carrying a handgun without a permit and also doing so within 500 feet of a school.

The one-year-old, as well as the couple's one-month-old twins, were removed from their home.
