Shooting caught on camera: man grabs cop’s gun and police kill him

A 45-year-old man is dead after grabbing an officer’s dropped weapon and firing at police in Taichung, Taiwan.

The incident took place near the Taichung airport. According to reports, the unidentified man was riding a motorbike with his daughter to the airport; police stopped him because the girl wasn’t wearing a helmet.

At some point during the confrontation, the police officer’s gun fell to the ground and the man picked it up and began firing.

In all, 26 shots were exchanged between police and the man and the incident was partly captured on camera. The gunman fired 12 shots and was killed after emptying his ammunition clip.

A 23-year-old woman and police officer were also injured during the exchange.
