Shooting rampage: gunman shoots up restaurant in Czech Republic, kills 9 people including himself

A gunman opened fire at a restaurant in the Czech Republic on Tuesday, killing eight people before turning the gun on himself to commit suicide, officials say.
Officials added that they believe the man was mentally unstable, with Czech Interior Minister Milan Chovanec saying it was not a terrorist attack.
The man, described as a local man in his 60s, burst into the Druzba restaurant in the eastern town of Uhersky Brod and started "shooting indiscriminately", according to town mayor Patrik Kuncar.
About 20 people were thought to have been in the restaurant at the time.
The crime line operator at the Czech TV station Prima says the shooter called the TV station just minutes before the incident. Pavel Labduska from Prima said he received a call at 12:56 p.m. local time from a man speaking in a quiet, slow voice. The man told Labduska that the TV station should send a crew to Uhersky Brod because something was about to happen, according to CNN.
The caller said "he is being bullied by many people and no authorities are helping him," Labduska said, according to CNN. The caller added, he would "do something about it."
Labduska alerted the police and tried to keep the man on the line, but the man hung up on him. The shooting reportedly took place minutes after that.
