Climate Change Puts Historic Monuments at Risk

Climate change appears to be having an impact on historic monuments such as the Statue of Liberty. While she did not fall when super-storm Sandy hit the iconic statue in 2012, the Union of Concerned Scientists says she might not be so lucky next time. The group has identified more than 20 monuments that are endangered national treasures. If they are to be saved it is essential to take proactive steps to prevent climate change and deal with its effects now, say the scientists. Patrice Howard reports for teleSUR
