Ruling Saenuri Party vows to pass bill requiring security cameras at daycare centers
  • 9 years ago
A law revision that requires daycare centers to install security cameras was voted down last week at the National Assembly,... but the ruling party has vowed to pass the revision in the upcoming extraordinary session in April.
Lawmakers who objected to the bill say... it would be a violation of privacy and infringe on daycare teachers' rights.
The ruling party says... it will rework the bill to address the privacy concerns... and re-introduce it during next month's session.
This comes after public demand for the legislation grew... following a string of child abuse cases at daycare centers in recent months.
