[ISS] Astronauts Perform Spacewalk to Pave Way for American Crew Vehicles

Astronauts Barry Wilmore and Terry Virts of Expedition 43 completed a 6 hour, 41 minute spacewalk outside the International Space Station rigging a series of data and power cables which will be connected to new docking adapters to be installed later this year.

The international docking adapters, of which two will be installed, will allow Orion, Dragon and CST-100 spacecraft with crew onboard to dock to the complex, ending the reliance on Russian Soyuz spacecraft.
