Thursday, Thousands of fast food workers in nearly 200 cities across the United States marched in to protest the insufficiency of the minimum wage in the country which has been US$7.25 per hour since 2009. No arrests were made in what has been the largest march on the subject to date. Workers are pushing for the national minimum wage to be increased to US$15.00 per hour as the present minimum wage is insufficient to live on without assistance of some kind. teleSUR
