Uruguay: leftist candidate elected president

In second round voting for president, Uruguayans elected Tabare Vazquez of the ruling left-wing Broad Front (FA) with 56.6%. Vazquez had previously been president of the country (2005-2010). The results will allow the FA to continue with a number of major social reforms. teleSUR
