Target Staffer Arrested For Allegedly Peeping Into Dressing Room

A staffer at a Target store in Santa Clarita, California was taken into police custody for allegedly photographing a woman who was using the dressing room.

With the ubiquitous presence of cameras, unfortunately, it's become far too easy for anyone with the wrong intentions to invade our privacy.

A staffer at a Target store in Santa Clarita, California was taken into police custody for allegedly photographing a woman who was using the changing room.

The observant victim caught the suspect, identified as 21-year-old Ricky Alexander Torres, snapping photos of her and she alerted his fellow employees.

According to reports, the woman placed him under citizen’s arrest until help came. Target loss prevention officers then took over and held Torres for police.

He was arrested and charged with ‘peeping into changing room with electronic device.’ Torres was booked at the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff's Station and held on ten thousand dollars bail.

Target has since launched an investigation into the alleged incident. According to court documents, Torres was previously convicted of a comparable offense.

He was sentenced to 30 days in jail in 2013 for a disorderly conduct charge pertaining to ‘lewd or dissolute conduct’.
