euromaxx city: Valladolid, Spain | Euromaxx

Situated north of Madrid, Valladolid is the de facto capital of the autonomous region of Castile and Leon. The city was founded in the 11th century and for a number of centuries served as the capital of the Kingdom of Castile and later of united Spain. Traces of its prestigious past can still be found in Valladolid's historic old town.
