Across the country, millions of Americans are casting their votes.

Collectively, they're choosing 36 Senators, 36 governors, and all 435 members of the House of Representatives ... after campaigns influenced largely by President Barack Obama's low approval ratings and gridlock in Washington.

Republicans are confident of making major gains, possibly recapturing the U.S. Senate for the first time since the 2006 election.
