Syrian rebels seize key checkpoint near Jordan border crossing

Syrian rebels have taken control over a key government checkpoint near a main border crossing with Jordan after a longstanding battle with the army. Rebels told Al Jazeera that the victory over the Um Al Mayathen checkpoint in the province of Deraa was significant in their bid to seize the Nasib border crossing.
