Video claims to show U.S. military aid in Islamic State hands

Somewhere on the edges of the Syrian border town, Kobani, an Islamic State fighter surveys his spoils of war.

Amateur video posted online claims to show IS fighters putting on display U.S. military supplies that were part of a recent airdrop.

They were intended for Kurdish fighters battling Islamic State militants for control of Kobani.

There's just no way to immediately verify this video but -- if true -- some of the very aid meant to help destroy the militants is now in the hands of Islamic State.

"These are the bombs dropped by American forces to the Kurdish parties. Praise to God, now they are spoils for the Mujahideen"

The weeks-long fight for Kobani, just a stone''s throw from the border with Turkey, a NATO ally, has been a tough ebb and flow.

A week ago, the town was about to fall to Islamic State.
