Islamic State militants fire what appears to be a rocket launcher at Kurdish troops in the Syrian city of Kobani along the border with Turkey.
In the video, which was obtained from a social media website and cannot be verified by Reuters, images appear to show Islamic State militants using heavy machine guns against Kurdish forces.
The United Nations has said the town is in serious danger if it falls to Islamic State as thousands of its residents are likely to be massacred.
Human rights groups say IS now controls about 40 percent of the city and that militants have seized a central administrative area.
Although U.S. and allied forces have increased attacks on Islamic State targets in the area, officials say air support is unlikely to be enough to save the city from falling.
