Indian Author Sushmita Banerjee has been shot dead in Afghanistan. The writer is best known for her memoir, Escape From Taliban.
Reports say that militants arrived at her house in the country's Paktika province, tied up her husband and then took her out and riddled her with bullets.
Sushmita had recently returned to Afghanistan to live with her husband and run a clinic. She had been filming the lives of local women as part of her work.
