Nicole Kidman’s father tragically passed away while visiting his other daughter Antonia Kidman. He unexpectedly died after a fall.
Nicole Kidman’s father tragically passed away while visiting his other daughter Antonia Kidman. Dr. Antony Kidman had traveled to Signapore to catch up with Nicole’s sister.
Sadly, he unexpectedly died after a fall. Antony, who was in his 80s, was pronounced dead at the hospital.
Little information has been released about the accident, but local police confirmed they are investigating what is called an ‘unnatural death’. The family hasn't spoken out about his passing yet, however they were all very close.
Nicole had a special bond with both her parents and was known for bringing either her mother or father to award ceremonies and premieres. Antony was a highly respected clinical psychologist who worked at Royal North Shore Hospital.
He was also affiliated with the University of Technology’s Health Psychology Unit in Sydney and received an ‘Order of Australia’ for his work in health services in 2005.
A spokesperson expressed sadness about his passing and remarked “During his 43 years at the University of Technology, Sydney, Tony has contributed greatly—as a colleague, as a researcher, and as a health practitioner.”
His death comes less than a year after he and his wife, Janelle celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary.
