Seriously ill British boy to be flown to Czech Rep. for treatment

Seriously ill British child Ashya King, who is suffering from a brain tumor, was whisked away from a UK hospital by his parents last week.

His father said he took his son from the hospital because doctors wouldn't discuss a cancer treatment known as proton beam therapy. It's a treatment that causes less damage to healthy tissue and isn't offered through the UK's National Health Service

It was a move that prompted an international search for the family due to fear the boy's life could be at risk.

The Kings were arrested in Malaga, Spain -- and spent two days in police custody.

Now, the young cancer patient will be flown to the Czech Republic to undergo the proton therapy, says the family's lawyer Isidro Fernandez.
