Jamaica continues search for "possible survivors" in private U.S. plane crash

A ghostly flight for a small private plane carrying a New York executive, after it veered far off course.

The aircraft took off from Rochester, New York headed to Naples, Florida, with real estate developer Larry Glazer and his wife on board.

About an hour after take-off, the FAA says the pilot stopped responding to radio calls.

Two U.S. fighter jets trailed the plane, until it entered Cuban airspace.

After flying over Cuba, it then dropped off the radar.

Jamaican authorities confirmed that the plane crashed in waters just a few miles northeast of the island nation.

During a news conference in Kingston, Military Co-operation Officer, Major Basil Jarrett, said a search for survivors was still under way.
