Lebanon army fights to expel militants from border town

A show of force as the Lebanese military heads into the fight.

Troops are deployed to the Syrian border, where at least 10 Lebanese soldiers have died in recent fighting with Islamist militants.

Among them, fighters from al Qaeda's Syrian branch and from the Islamic State.

The Lebanese army commander speaks of their loss:

(SOUNDBITE) (Arabic) COMMANDER OF THE LEBANESE ARMY, GENERAL JEAN KAHWAJI, SAYING:

''The army has lost 10 martyrs and 25 are wounded including 4 officers. We lost 13 soldiers whom we believe are missing and they are maybe prisoners in the hands of the terrorist groups.''

In Arsal, locals show support for their soldiers:
