It's been eight months, and the high-profile trial is now over for Andy Coulson.

But his sentence is just beginning.

The former media chief to British Prime Minister David Cameron was jailed for 18 months on Friday.

Playing a part in News of the World's phone-hacking scandal, Coulson was convicted of conspiracy to intercept voicemails on mobile phones.

It emerged that the newspaper had listened in on thousands of targets - from movie stars to crime victims to government ministers.

Andy Coulson, the editor of News of the World from 2003-2007, is the only one of seven defendants to be convicted following the lengthy trial at London's Old Bailey court.
