A Detroit boy who had been missing for 11 days, was found alive in his father’s basement.

The father, Charles Bothuell, got the news while he was doing an interview with CNN’s Nancy Grace.

Upon hearing the report, he was speechless, breathing rapidly, and holding his chest.

Grace asked him how it was that after all this time the boy was found in his house.

Bothuell said he had absolutely no idea as he, his wife, the police, and the FBI had all searched the area where the boy was ultimately discovered.

Police confirmed that statement, and added that they’d even scoured the area with the help of a cadaver dog.

Officials also mentioned that the boy was concealed behind a barricade of boxes and had soda and cereal sitting beside him.

It was deemed unlikely that the child had built the enclosure himself.

There are many questions about the family’s possible involvement in the boy’s disappearance, but whether or not there’s evidence supporting that connection has yet to be disclosed.

The father has already taken a lie detector test, but the results were inconclusive.

The child was taken to a hospital and is receiving medical attention.
